Just got back from Corfu...much fun was had...also much toastyness, to say it was hot may be something of an understatement. But I am not burnt or crispy or really even tanned thanks to my trusty bottle of factor 30 and my lovely hat.
However I dislike being at home so I'm off to Cambridge tomorrow - with a toothache apparently....I've had it since yesterday and it's resisting all the ibruprofen I'm throwing at it. I am too poor to go to the dentist, (at least until september when I'll be a student again) so whatever is going on with my tooth will have to wait for now.
Did no work on the writing project while I was away, which I have to admit is a bit of a poor show. All that time lounging by the pool and all I managed to decide is that the setting WILL be steampunk afterall (I love the idea too much, steampunk is just made of awesomesauce) but made no progress on the plot or characters, well some tiny amounts of progress but nothing really to show for it.
SO now it's back to worldbuilding, I really should finish that city design I've been messing with in photoshop and I really should work on some proper character profiles, but now I'm too busy looking at steampunk fashion.....

Uurrrrrg I have been sooooo so so very ill today. Yuck. I've spent most of today asleep on the sofa with the worst headache ever and the constant feeling that I am going to throw up. Although three tonnes of paracetamol and some chocolate raisins have improved the situtation slightly.

Still working on the outline for the writing project that I'm working on, got some good advice that I plan out a short sentence describing the overall plot and then break it down into scenes and make short sentences for each scene describing what happens, so that I can get the plot straight in my head.

Is good advice I think. Also I'm trying to get away from being bogged down by world-building I know it's important to have a well constructed world, especially for fantasy, but right now trying to get the world-building down is stopping me from making any progress at all.

So I'm going to take some more painkillers, have some food and then work on fleshing out my characters and planning out what actually happens

Have spent the past two days recovering from Torchwood. Epic stuff. Although quite different from normal Torchwood. I miss Ianto already *sadface*

Been working hard on my photoshop skills and completely failing to do any writing whatsoever, although I guess theres nothing really new there. I have a premise, half a world, a few characters and epic writers block. hmmmm I really have got to start planning out some scenes so I can get on with this thing. I spend far too much time making myself desktop backgrounds.....

The new USB cable I ordered for my graphics tablet came yesterday which makes me very happy. I've been messing around with ImageReady today making a few little GIFs and messing around with animation, nothing fancy as I am pretty new at it. Check the user pic for this entry ^^

Might have a go at making my own mood set for here, Probably take me a while tho and I'm supposed to be working on some sketches and plans for worldbuilding for the writing project I've been working on. Sprites are fun though......

Ok so two mildly interesting things happened to me today,
1) I discovered I like tuna melt sandwhiches, they are strangely satisfying but quite odd. Tuna and cheese do not go together in my head but they do taste quite good
2) I had a makeover and photoshoot today. Which was very, very wierd. I don't think I've ever had as much makeup on in my entire life as I did today. There was alot like so much I could feeeeel it on my face and I was scared to yawn. However a half decent picture of me now exists in the world which is mildy astonishing to say the least. It was quite possibly the most girly thing I've ever done and I spent most of the time wishing I was at home in a big t-shirt and shorts, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be and having the photos taken was actually quite fun

Just waiting for Children of Earth Day Three to come up on BBC iplayer, the first two have been amazingly awesome can't wait to see what happens
